Astronomy is a fascinating science and public interest in its discoveries and the work of astrophysicists is correspondingly high. The public relations work of the ZAH is correspondingly diverse and is often carried out in cooperation with other facilities and institutes of the University of Heidelberg as well as external scientific institutions. Examples are press releases in cooperation with the university's press office, popular scientific lectures at the Haus der Astronomie or open days held together with the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy. Public relations is a common task for all members of the Center for Astronomy. If you have general questions about astronomical topics or the ZAH, please contact the scientific manager, Dr. Guido Thimm.
