Experimental Physics Lab Courses

The Department of Physics and Astronomy offeres a variety of lab courses in Experimental Physics for different groups of students at different levels of studies. PhD-Students are welcome to act as tutors in such courses to fulfill their teaching obligation. In the following we give an overview about appropriate courses. In general a tutors responsibility is to explain an experiment, supervise groups of students while they actually operate the experiment and check/correct their measurement records/protocol.

PAP1 for non-physics majors (Studierende im Nebenfach)
2-weeks block course (a.m and p.m.) between mid Mar and mid Apr.
Teaching obligation fulfilled: 1.0 Deputat

PAP1 for Physics Students (Studierende im Hauptfach)
2-weeks block course (a.m. and p.m.) between end of Aug and mid Oct.
Teaching obligation fulfilled: 1.0 Deputat

PAP2 for Physics Students (Studierende im Hauptfach)
Lab course offered from mid Feb until mid Mar. In this intervall PhDs supervise experiments every second day (a.m. and p.m.) and do the corrections at home.

PAP2 for Physics Students (Studierende im Hauptfach)
Lab course offered during lecture period of a semester term once (or twice) per week in the afternoon (p.m.).

PAP for Medical Students (Mediziner-Praktikum)
Lab course offered from mid Mar to mid Apr. (2 weeks easter holiday inbetween) with 15 days of lab course either a.m. or p.m.

PAP for Pharmacy Students (Pharmazeuten-Praktikum)
Lab course offered during second half of March with 6 supervisions in the afternoon

Lab course offered in January (Part I) and July (Part II) during lecture free period of a semester term. PhDs can register for either or both parts. Each part comprises 10 supervisions in the afternoon.
